Ethnic and Folk Arts Grants workshops being scheduled across Illinois

Company of Folk Staff will offer workshops to share information about grants from the Illinois Arts Council Agency in Moline, Galena, Macomb, and other places to be announced soon. Particular attention will be given to grants that are for individuals who practice an art form that comes from a  specific tradition or ethnic heritage and who are interested in the Master/Apprentice program in Traditional and Ethnic Arts.  This apprenticeship program is seeking applications from individuals for the 2015 Apprenticeships in Traditional and Ethnic Arts ($3,000).

Dates for the scheduled workshops include:

Sept. 16, 5 to 7:30 p.m.  at Moline Public Library, 3210 41st St., Moline

Sept 25, 5 to 6:00 p.m. (with hands-on help to follow) at DeSoto House, 230 S Main St, Galena

October 21, 1:00-4:00 p.m.  at Western Illinois University, 220 Browne Hall, Macomb
