Carlos Mejia – Marimba Concert: Pullman, August 12, 2017

 

The award winning marimba artist Carlos Mejia appears in concert in Pullman on August 12, 2017 at 2 pm.   Carlos will be joined by his gifted student, Jennifer Ortiz.  They will perform and Carlos will also discuss his role as a Mayan tradition bearer, teacher, and political refugee.

Ella Jenkins Receives National Heritage Fellowship 2017

 

 

Company of Folk is pleased to announce that folk musician and “First Lady of Children’s Folk Music” Ella Jenkins (1924- ) will receive a 2017 National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment for Arts.
